93' Explorer Eddie Bauer - 4WD won't work

Hello everyone, this is actually my first post in the forums here so I apologize in advance if my formatting isn't correct. I have a 93' Ford explorer that I bought off of one of my friends. I didn't think to check the 4wd before I bought it. Whenever I click the 4x4 button on the switch, nothing happens. No noise or anything. The switch is plugged in too. To start with I am going to check the fuses and electrical problems again, but I think they're all good. Any suggestions? Could it be the shift motor?

Welcome to EF. Do a search here IIRC there is a thread on rebuilding the shift motor that explains how to manually shift it after removing the shift motor so at least you could test it to make sure the 4WD is working. With a 12V test light check to see if you have power coming out of the 4WD switch in 4WD mode, & test it down at the 4WD motor to determine what is not working.
