Which axle is in a 94 xlt 4x4?
Dana 35 or Dana 28?
I need ball joints and I'm not sure

Most 1st Gens came with the D35 axle which can be easily identified by the upper ball joint... The upper ball joint on a D28 is threaded and held in place with a castle nut, while a D35 is smooth and held in place by a snap ring and pinch bolt...
