'94 Explorer Door handle replacement

My driver door was frozen shut. I pulled the handle and the latch released. The weatherstripping didn't allow the door to open. I pulled on the handle with more force and broke the spring and the exterior release. The door mechanism releases from inside and I've purchased a new driver side exterior handle. Now I need some advise about how I replace the handle. I think the biggest issues are how to disassemble the door and how to replace the rivets.
