Hey I have a 94 explorer and recently like two days ago I started up the truck and something like blew out releasing a lot of air then the engine just cut out . Then I waited 5minutes and the truck started up fine but when I drive , I hear a hissing sound and when I stop at traffic lights the engine begins to rumble but when I give it a little gas the rumble goes away . I have even drove the truck on the freeway at higher speeds and the engine rumble is gone . It only will rumble and jerk when I'm waiting at traffic lights . One of my friends told me that it may be the idle air control valve but I just want to make sure before I replace the valve and still have a problem . Thanks for the help !

Before replacing the IAC, I'd check all the vacuum lines. Gut feel is -- you find the source of the hissing sound, and you'll find your problem.
