94 limited, change transfer case fluid with pics!!

94- how to change transfer case fluid with pics (drain obstructed?)

I know where the drain is supposed to be, but it seems that something is bolted over my drain plug, take a look and tell me what you think I need to do. I have made a circle over the part that seems to be blocking the drain plug, but I really have no idea, this is my 1st 4wd truck.

Yep the drain plug is under that. All u have to do is remove the 4 bolts that holds that on. I believe that is a balancer of some sort.

As mentioned by tbe2002 The balancer needs to be removed as shown below. The balancer is designed to keep any unwanted vibrations out of the cabin. There is also one on the rear axle for the same reason.
