Had the 94 transmission full rebuild about 6k ago now noticing something.

When putting into 1st or reverse there is a delay (mostly in 1st) takes a bit to engage. Sometimes you have to give it a bit of gas before 1st grabs. Everything else seems fine.

Ideas?

I would take it back to whomever did the rebuild. Should be under warranty still...

It could be low on fluid or sounds like it maybe a seal concern internal to transmission.

Took the truck back to have the tranny worked on under warranty.

At 1st look, they thought it was the "servo pack" but it turns out that the "pump gasket" or a piece had broken off and was blocking the filter, etc etc etc. They had it for a week and what a difference. The transmission shifts much better than after the initial rebuild. There must have been a problem all along?
