i have a 1995 eddie bauer explorer and iam looking to raise it up and give it a mean badd asss look. im looking between a 4 inch and a 6 inch lift max for it.i dont know if i should buy the lift suspension or a body lift. what do you think is better? i know body lift is way way cheaper but it will only give me a 2 to 3 inch lift....... if you know the cheapest, easiest, good kit that i can get them shoot me a pm and let me know where i can find the kit. thanks guys

A '95 Ranger suspension lift will not work. The ranger uses the TTB. Also '95 Explorers have the rear torsion bar mounts welded to the frame requiring them to be cut off and the new mounts welded on. This will require an experienced welder and will drive the cost up quite a bit. On 1996 & up the mounts are bolted on.

You will not see a suspension lift listed for 1995 Explorers due to this fact.

Thank you for clarifying that fact. A suspension lift will work, but it is going to take a lot of work, time, and money. I own a '95 and did not want to go through all that. As far as the Ranger lift goes, I was thinking of the body lift, my mistake, thank you for catching that Dan.

I did what Techieman33 suggested, and I am able to fit 33" tires no problem. It worked out great, and I did have fun in the process. My rig sits nice and high, I am able to do some wheeling, and with the larger tires, I still have stability on the road.

This lift method is for looks and moderate wheeling, not hardcore rock crawling. The travel lift is minimal. 2" from TT/shackles, 2.5" from larger tires.
The cab height is far greater than stock, with the 3" body lift/33" tires/2" suspension lift. It feels like you are way up there, and can be deceiving.
