95 need help code 647

need help 95 ex wont shift from 1st to 2nd unless u let off pedal. 2nd to 3 and od seems to be ok or not as bad to realy notice. at 55mph push on pedal and it will go all the way back to 1st and redline the moter. i ran a snap on computer and is coming up with code 647 and telling me gear ratio is incorect. on christler cars this is usaly a speed senser or input senser. please help all help is thankfull.

You might try adjusting the intermediate band as This has been aproblem in these trans Hopefully it has not broke It could be other issues but the easiest first. Search for 4r55e intermediate band and You should find instructions on how to do it.

Actually disregard the last post as i Forgot that the od band causes 2nd engagement. So search 4r55e band adjustments You probably should adjust both.

Welcome to this forum! The servos dry out after a period of time, so if the band isn't broken, and adjusting doesn't help, then replace the servo.
