95 ranger abs light

Hi there, I have a 1995 ranger, 4x4 4L. I'm trying to get it safetied, and did everything needed except the abs light is still on. I personally don't want abs anyways, but the mechanic needs to see the light come on when the key is turned, and he needs to see it go off once its running. Does anyone know how I can bypass the ABS system but keep the light there so the mechanic can see it?

There is an ABS sensor on the top of your rear differential (pumpkin), that usually get dirty or go bad. NAPA has is for under $20!
