I recently blew out a brake line driving down the highway. I downshifted and used the parking brake to stop the truck. After replacing the brake lines I started to use the parking brake and it felt like something let go as I put my foot down. It no longer holds and feels like the cable is too loose. It is still connected and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the self tensioner. Anyone have any ideas?

I would check that cable from the pedal all the way to the rear wheels. Take off the drums and look at the mechanism. Sure sounds like something broke to me.

Welcome to the forum.
