I have a 96 explorer. I was driving and less than a mile after i left the truck stopped accelorating. I got it to the side of the road, the check engine light came on but the truck still was idling fine and the rpms would still increase and decrease. I shut the truck off and it hasnt started since. I have replaced and tested the starter, altenator, battery, bttery cables, checked all fuses (i think), i can hear the fuel pump kick on when i turn the key, i turn the key and l I hear is the sileniod of the starter spin but it does not engage with the flywheel. I do not know of a way to check the flywheel on this motor with out removing the motor, any suggestions. i am kinda at a blank with ideas.
