96 explorer trailer stop and turn signal problems

I've got no stop or turn signals on my trailer. All lighting on the explorer is fine. Are there separate relays for trailer signals located next to the battery under the hood? It's a 96 four door xlt two whl drive with no tow package. I'm running a trlr harness from the license plate connection behind the driver side tail light. I've got running lights but no turn or brake signals.

Check the grounds or run more grounds on the trailer wires. That fixed my problem of that happening on my trailer
