96 Mazda B2300/Ford Ranger starts but shuts off

I was on another forum and was directed here I got a 1996 Mazda b2300 it ran like a top then all of a sudden after sitting for a week it will start but shut off.I ran some tests fuel pump is pumping 40PSI so no issue with pressure I can keep the truck idling perfect with a spray bottle full of fuel but it stalls if I stop.The strange part is a code came up after I had it idling a while for the ignition control module but i got a fuel problem anyone have any idea what i could look for?'
