97, 5r55e OD flashing

I Have a 1997 ford explorer with the 4.0L ohv and 5R55E trans the OD light will start flashing after you drive 50miles sometimes just 20miles it just started doing this about 7weeks ago,, I have tried to scan for codes but nutn,, took it to trans shop and he hooked it up to look at codes and nutn,,, the light never flashed when he was looking at it ,,,, ANYONE no whats going on with this trans, I need to get it fixed so I can drive it,, I BLOWED UP MY 98 Explorer and have the Motor out of it now,, so I got to get the 97 explorer where I can drive it,,, any help would be nice,thank

It's probably the torque converter clutch system. Get hooked up to a decent scanner and see if you don't get a P0741. YMMV

You need to use a scanner which is capable of reading manufacturer specific codes.

I have had it hooked up to a snap-on scanner that reads the trans codes but its not showing any at all,,, even took it by a trans shop and the od light never flashed are showed any codes,,, i dont no whats going on with it,,, when its flashing it dont lock up in -od- but drive fine shifts hard sometimes,,
