im having hesitation issues still with my explorer. ive replaced many parts including fuel pump/filter,mass air, front o2 sensors and coolant temp sensor. this a new engine with @ 650 miles on it. i took it to a good mechanic friend and he put his snap-on diagnostic machine on it.he said it showed @ 14% rich and the computer was taking fuel away.this was before i changed the o2 sensors and the coolant temp sw. the new o2 sensors made the throttle response alot better but it still falls on its face for a second when you hit the throttle and the missing fells like a vibration.the mechanic told me that from what the scanner was telling him, the catalyst was gone in the front cats.but they have not been gutted or rodded out with anything.cats either melt or clogg, they cant decintegrate.he showed me the voltage on all four o2's.he said the rear o2's were trying to follow and match the front ones.then he showed me a diff ford truck that was running good and the rear o2's were at 0.01 voltage and they didnt bounce around like mine. the truck ran great.what is the likely hood of both of my front cats being bad? does anyone have a diff idea to explore? has anyone had a cam sensor cause problems like this and not throw an engine code?
