97 Explorer 4.0 OHC Transmission

Will the 5R55E transmission from a 97 Explorer 4.0 OHC work in a 98 Explorer 4.0 SOHC? Just thought I would throw this out to the group before I spent the money.

I didn't know the 4.0L OHC engine was ever hooked up to the 5Spd Auto. You learn something new everyday I guess.

Thats what I wanted to know. I don't know much on transmissions, what is the difference?

1997-2001- All V6 auto models used the 5R55E.. 1995-1996 used the 4R55E
