97 rough idling

Here are several things to do that should help the idle:

clean the MAF
clean the IAC
run a can of Sea Foam through the intake

Good luck .....
Hi there.

I haev a 2000 XLT SOHC. I seem to have a problem with the IAC, which I will be checking shortly, per suggestons from others (stalls when idling). I've seen mention of this MAF, and sea foam. What is MAF, and how to do test/repair/replace, and what is Sea Foam, what does it do, and how is it applied.

Thanks!

I'm having the shaking at red light issue also, MAF, IAC, TPS and Spark Plugs are fairly new. Any suggestions?

I think most of the original posters have died of natural causes by now.

Lol.. cept Aldive.. Any suggestions though?

Is your problem only at idle? Checked vac hoses?

I checked the ones I know of.. I think.. You're talking about the very extremely thin rubber hoses on the driver's side front? Do you have any diagrams of the system? I used to have a bunch but they were all lost when my flash drive took a crap.. =\

idle speed might be too low. fuel injectors.
