Hopefully someone can help me out:
After a short ride, my 97 Explorer wouldn't start. The battery wouldn't take a jump. Towed to a shop.
They replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the Coolant Temperature Sensor.
Ran fine for a couple days and then the temp gauge started reading Hot.
I replaced the thermostat. After having it sit and run for a bit, the temp gauge read Hot.
Took it to a different shop. Said that it wasn't overheating for him and that everything checks out OK.
So after picking it up, I make a stop at a store and when I start it back up, the Check Engine light pops on.
I make another stop at a store and when I go to start it back up, it wouldn't start on the first, second, third tries.
I wait a few minutes, and it starts up.
I drive about 1/2 mile and the temp gauge reads Hot.
I go for approx. 1 mile and the temp gauge returns to normal.
I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.
