97 X Vin VERY bad fuel leak under hood

hope this is posted in right area.....97 explorer 6 cly x vin gas pours out some where near top back of engine about a quart to half gallon....Just a guess but it is a lot at one time, 2 big stains on street about 4 foot x 4foot size. Lots of gas..... then it stops leaking after about a minute, when I start it latter in same day no leak........if I drive or start it every day no leaks but let it set for a week and gas pours out......would the pressure regulator be sticking from setting ? Is there a pressure relief valve that could also be sticking?? I over hauled engine 3 years ago.....have let it set for about 6 months an now this is a new problem Any ideas??? I am thinking its going to go boom Soon any ideas where to look would be greatly appreciated......thanks Gary

you need to gain access to the fuel rail and look VERY closely
at where its leaking...there will be evidence there......im thinking
that its pooling up, then dumping on you....

you may even need to pull the upper intake for this.
