97 XLT CD changer jammed

Hello everyone,

My wife owns a 97 XLT with the factory 6 disc CD changer. This weekend, I went to eject the magazine but when I pressed the eject button inside the arm console, it would not come out. I heard the motor sound, but the magazine just will not come out. And when I hit CD on the head unit, it says no disc and goes back to the radio.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any idea what I can do to correct this problem?

I have the same problem in my 97' but it does eject and let me put cd's in it just when It loads it says no disc.

I had found a website that will fix it (for a fee lol) I'll try to find it.

It doesn't matter much now since I'm getting a 700bt put in either this weekend or next so if its true from what I've read that when you do that it disables the changer it won't matter.
