98-01 High Mount Tail Light Removal

So, I'm doing some modding to the tail lights on my 01, not naming what mod, for various reasons, but ATM, it's stock, how do you remove the high mount tail light? I can find plenty on 95-97s but nothing to speak of for 98-01s.

As I recall, on the bottom side of the lift-gate, there's a piece of black tape. Under it there are 2 holes to access 2 nuts which hold the HSTL to the lift-gate. I don't recall if you have to pull the interior trim down first. I'm guessing you do..
