ok my 98 limited seems very rough on bumps. I have replaced all of the shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends, tires, torsion adjustments and allignment. still a pretty rough ride. could my leaf springs which i suspect are a little tired cause it to ride bad on rough surfaces? and is it just me but do stock gen 2 explorers all seem to slouch in the rear. are they not supposed to sit level from front to back cause i even notice it in lifted second gens?

They do sag a little in the rear. Some new leaf springs would probably help but the tires and shocks are the main thing that determine the ride quality. Its not going to ride smooth.

It's a full framed truck so it's not going to have a cushy ride. If you want a nice ride buy a Town Car.

If your tires are pumped to the max you could try dropping the air pressure to 32 psi, but this is an explorer and it's not going to be cushy....
