98 5.0L tubular vs cast exhaust manifolds

I have a 98 5.0L AWD (manufactured 9/2007) that needs the passenger side exhaust manifold replaced.

I know that there are two types of manifold, with the change being 2/98. Can I put the post 2/98 cast manifold on the passenger side of this vehicle?

the only thing really stopping you from using one vs the other is egr vs non egr.

Only Early `96 was stamped steel with Internal EGR. late `96 to `97 was Stamped Steel with External EGR. Starting in 1998 they went to Cast Iron, and kept the External EGR.

do the cast manifolds flow any better than the tubular ones?

What if it was an internal egr, does that mean I can't swap to the cast iron ones?
