98 explorer headlights HELP ME CORRECT

I just purchased a 98 X, and my headlights stay on all the time while driving, even if it is day or night. I have the headlight switch turned off. Any advice? I only want autolamps....

So it has DRL? Daytime Running Lights can be disabled with a conversion kit.

Yeah, I guess. I don't like them being on all the time. Where can I get a conversion kit.
