I have a 98 explorer v8 and recently it started making noises in the front end. I did upper and lower ball joints and wheel bearings a year ago. I can barely go over any bump in the road without hearing a clunk. It's not at turns its just over bumps. I'm lost and need a little help. It doesn't seem like torsion bars, because it sounds right in front pass side. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Also inspect lower control arm bushings

Could it be the upper shock mount? The rubber insulator might be worn. You must have rubber in the shaft hole to keep the shock shaft from hitting it.

Ditto Turdle's suggestion. I had a similar clunk in my front end going over parking lot speed bumps. Turned out to be a combination of a worn bushing and a loose top nut.
