98 Ford Explorer fuel system lean..

Well latest update.

drove decently until today. Misfire codes and 5mph max speed, so being tired of it I took it to the shop just down the street from my work. Took them forever to figure it out. But ultimately it came down to the fuel pump. Price is ok, I think I'll go ahead and get it done, need to be winter ready.

Well, final update.

After a heart stopping bill, a replaced fuel pump and sending unit, its running brand new.

the shop showed me the old pump and sending unit, it was mangled to hell, and explains the loud sound coming from my fuel tank prior....

But it's all over with. The moral to this story, fuel mixture to lean bank 1 and bank 2 could mean ANYTHING.
