98 mouny driver door lock switch not working.

The driver door lock switch will unlock the doors but will not lock. The passenger one works fine and the truck can be locked by the fob and keyless pad. I took the switch apart and bridged the contacts inside to while it was plugged in. It would unlock but not lock still. Is it common for these trucks? Think a wire is broken?

Its a broken wire leaving the switch and going into the door post.

My 01 does the same exact thing- I haven't bothered to do anything about it though.
