98 newbie exploere TT & AAL lift.?

I 'm just wondering what a TT & AAL lift sand for.
sorry for being so green at this.
my back shackles are rust thought and I am thinking of lifting it a little since I need new shackles anyway as well as tires.
I was thinking of getting some warrior 1-1/4 rear shackle kit,but then what should i do for the front(some thing with the torsion bar?) and what size tire could i fit after that with out rubbing.
any help will be much appreciated.
