I want to install a York 210 under the hood of my 98 Ranger w/ 2.5, 4 cyl for and air compressor and won't compromise for any other compressor mod or add-on. None others have the kind of performance im looking for.
I have two possible places to install it, beside the a/c compressor (doubtful that it will have hood clearance), and to the left of the alternator. I think it might fit under the a/c discharge line and the heater hoses. Although the heater hoses are flexible and movable, possibly could add length to them. But the a/c discharge line is mostly aluminum and steel, not much rubber hose where its needed to move out of the way. I can make a braket to come off of the alternator bolts, although making it a pain to access them, i'm willing to make that sacrafice, lol. Correct me if I am wrong, there are pulleys out there that can replace the alternator pulley, with one that has the additional v-belt groove. Does anyone know of any companies out there that fab brackets for York 210's for Rangers. (w/ idler pulley included in the braket) Keep in mind its a tight fit, if I can mount it below the a/c discharge line it will be not to far from the frame. Answers please.

Note: Ive heard the add-on drive pulley for the compressor has to be the same size as the crankshaft pulley and that the dive pulley has to also be the same size as the compressor pulley to maintain even rpm's, but I think York 210's are rated for 6k, and a 2.5 4cyl redlines at 5500 rite? I think my crank pulley is 7 inches, and the York is 6 inches? Would this be a problem? (I have no tach)
