I have a 98' Eb with the 5.0 v8 and awd . my question is does the abs have anything to do with the awd working . I snapped an outer tierod end about 4 months ago (at 65mph woo hoo fun ride) when it let go it snapped the abs sensor cable, I replaced both outer tierod ends but didnt change the sensor cable so I have been driving around for a few months with the abs light on . The past few times it has snowed here i have been noticing that when i gets a little slick it just doesnt seems to pull through the snow like it used to (not that it was ever great anyway, give me selectable 4x4 anytime over awd). then today it was really icy on the roads coming to work and it just kept wanting to kick the back end around and didnt seem to be pulling from the front at all. This leads me to believe that the awd system is not working . So the first thing I thought of was the abs and wondering if it had anything to do with it or do i have 2 seperate problems or is this the way the awd works. I dont want to dump a ton of money in this thing as Im getting rid of it in about 6 weeks (its starting to rot and has 210,000 miles on it) but i would like to get it working right for the next ower (if there is going to be one)
Thanks in advance for any help.

The ABS has no connection with the AWD. There are clutches in the AWD t-case that sends 65% to the rear & 35% to the front. It's possible the t-case is bad.
