99 4.0 needs engine

My daughters 99 XLS 4.0 has 260,000 miles on it and needs a head gasket. I have a 4.0 out of a 96 with 102,000 that runs great. Will it fit into the 99 ?

Both are OHC.

97 was the first year of the 4.0 SOHC - if you have a 1996 V6 it's OHV and would require major effort (and lots of other parts from the donor vehicle) to install in a SOHC truck.
