i am curious what all would be involved with replacing the stock cam with one designed for better performance.

how hard is it to get to, and are there other things that would need replaced to accomodate the new cam.

i would not go too aggressive, i am mostly looking to change the torque curve a bit, i would like it to peak at a higher rpm without losing the bottom end if thats possible, basically making the curve continue up higher before it starts to fall off.

i cant say i know much about cams or what affects the changes will make so any input would be appreciated.

You may have to replace valve springs and pushrods depending on the cam. Call Competition Cams and see what they recommend.

You have to tear down the whole front of the motor, intake manifold, and remove the radiator. Not sure of if there is enough room to remove it with the grill in place, but I assume you probably could.

that doesnt sound too bad.

so if i pull the heads....can those stock heads stand up to some mild porting?

cam, porting, and headers would be sweet
