99 explorer 1.72 Rocker Question

I have a E303 Cam and I was curios if the clearance for the valves would allow me to put 1.72 Roller Rockers on it too. I have GT40p's on it and i was wondering how much clearance i would have. just checking to see if anyone has ran into any problems doing this?

You shouldn't have a prob, actually it's the better way to go. With 1.72's and the e cam you'll get the effect of a b cam. If your cam was bigger you'd need the 1.6's but the e is pretty suttle. I don't have this combo on my x but i have the e cam and the 1.72's on my mustang. If you have an good exhaust it will give a real nice idle rumble.

you should have plenty of room to run 1.7's with an E cam.

the 1.7's will work even better with a chip that raises the shift points. 1.7's dont do much in the lower and middle. Where they make the diff. is in the upper. Having one of the fastest mustangs in the midwest a few years back, one of my first mods was throttle body, exhaust, maf, and 1.7's.
