I've just ordered a stereo from Crutchfield, and I think they've sent me the wrong wiring harness. I have the factory CD/cassette combo, which is a premium audio setup. According to Kris' sticky, there shouldn't be an external amplifier for my model year, it should be integrated into the head unit. Crutchfield has sent me a factory amplifier bypass harness, but my guess is that all I need is the basic '98 and up harness. I've already sent an e-mail to Crutchfield, and they told me just to check it out when it arrived. They seem convinced that I have an external amp, though. Can y'all confirm whether I'm right or not:scratch:

I have a 98 and I am in the same boat. Though I do have an aftermarket that I installed, I just don't believe I picked up the right harness to begin with and made the one that I had work. This time around I am looking to do things right and to have a nice very clean install.
