Ok, I've looked high and low. Even called 3 Ford dealerships for the fender flare color code. Does anyone know what this color is? The primary color code on the door is YZ (oxford white). I appreciate the help!

The trim on my old '00 Sport was "Medium Platinum", paint code "RC". I'd imagine it was the same on your ;99.

The only RC I see on the sticker is the one shown below. But I don't think that is the trim color. I'm going to take the fender flare to a dealer and see what they think. I do agree though, it looks like RC.

It is RC. I had a can of Duplicolor in RC (Medium Platinum) that was very close if not identical when I touched up my flares 4+ years ago. Once again, I had a '00 which looks identical to the '99, IMHO. I kept the paint code info in an Outlook file I looked at to help you out.

You already said you already talked to 3 dealers. They're suddenly going to know the answer? They should have known the answer the first time, doncha think?

Ext. paint code is YZ
Ext. trim Code is 74
Int. trim code is Z2

Nossir... 74 is the Region Code, not the exterior trim.

Exterior trim is not listed on that sticker. (I think it's because all Sports used the same trim color: If it was listed, it would be a second code right next to the exterior code on the same line. RC Medium Platinum, even the few-and-far-between Eddie Bauer Sports)

It's got to be Medium Platinum... There were only four options for 99, and that's certainly NOT Medium Wedgewood Blue, Charcoal Green, or Dark Toreador Red.

It is RC (Medium Platinum Metallic). Make sure you topcoat with clear. Been there, done that.

FWIW, Eddie Bauer's trim for '99/'00 was supposedly "Harvest Gold". I was never happy with the match (too gold). I did some recent research and it was suggested "BA" or "Light Prairie Tan" (code BA) was the code for the EB trim. I got some touchup paint in that code recently and it's pretty darn close so I'm pretty sure it's a match. I notice this topic comes up a lot in the archives (for both the Sport and the EB).

Is that the same as a 97 Mountys bumpers and trim. That looks just like them. I am in bad need of painting the bumpers. :help:
