Hello Everyone. New to the forums bu looking for some help with some projects. The overall goal is to lift it both suspension and body, but the biggest tires on it I can without rubbing, brush guard w/ lights, dual exhaust, and dual cb antennas.

I'm going to have the shop do the dual exhaust and lifts mainly because I dont have the tools to do such but the rest I want to do at home because its cheaper and I really just want too. But I need help.

Aries 3053 Brush Guard/KC SlimLite - 6" Rnd Driving - Black - 100 Watt
  • Im pretty sure I can install the guard without any problems, does anyone know if you have to do anything special with this guard or if the instructions it comes with enough?
  • As far as the KC lights, the come in a set of 2 however I could like to have 4, now would i just connect both sets or would I need to do something differently in the installation? As well as will the battery handle this and the normal car functions at once without dieing easily?
  • And far as a switch will I need to hook them up to my regular lights specifically the brights or can I (which is preferred) a separate light switch for that? Now I see people with switches like this, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51N0mmqstGL.jpg , but there is no such place to add a switch on the explorer, suggestions?

Now my other questions before I start the rest is, do I need to get the body, suspension, or exhaust first? With either have an affect on the other?

Lights you can hook up in one or hook up individually. I have a set of 6in round kcs behind my grill right to the battery and they don't drain much. I also have a system attached to the battery and have no problem and hids in my head lights. Don't know much about grill gaurds but they should bolt directly to your frame. Lift optionsyour looking at either a 2 to 3 inch with torison keys and shackles or super lift makes a 4 in suspenion for like 1500. Dont know much about body lifts I personally dont like them and in my eyes they dont do anything other then mng it so you can fit bigger tires. I have 33x12.50x15r brf mud terrains on my explorer sport with torison keys shackles and a little front trimming. Hope this info was good for ya.

Thanks for the help...last question is..a buddy has a 2500HD and I know those get like 15 or so mpg but after the lifts and exhaust and everything he gets about 6 so what messes the mpg up
