99 Ford Explorer Sport Driver Seat

Like everyone else, my explorer driver seat broke. My dad welded it together several years ago but it broke again. I guess the welding didn't really stay for long. I have been trying to get a new seat but now that we are in 2013 99 ford driver seat is hard to come by.

My question is~~would it be possible to change my manual driver seat to an electric seat from another similar ford explorer. I did notice that my driver seat has some cables running from the floor and are connected to the seat but it seems like they don't really go anywhere. One cable is for the seat belt lock and other other (I am assuming) is for a power seat.

How do I know if these cables are usable for an electric seat? Would it worth my time to invest in a seat or should I just work with what I have.

Even the electric seats still have the handle for moving the back.

Take a multimeter and see if there's power going to the plug you're talking about.
If there is, you can tap in a power seat.
