99 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 oil sender needs replaced (how?)

My nieces grand cherokke 4.0 has a problem where the oil gauge. It shows low at running temperature, we went to a few service departments and they sayed its the oil sender on the side of the engine, but where the hell is it? And does the thing have aa distributer?

I cant remember exactly what year jeep took the distributer off the the 4.0 We swapped a 98 Tj motor into my girlfriends 84 jeep and it had a distributer but a year or two after that they went to coil packs. As far as the oil sending unit on here I believe it is on the passanger side towards the bottom of the block in about the middle of the block. Hopefully that makes sence. Her jeep is 400 miles away from me right now so I cant go out and take a look.
