The blower motor on my 2001 Explorer sport has been going in and out for about 3 weeks.
Things I have noticed:
-blower won't work on any setting when it goes out (a/c, max ac, defrost, max or low speed)
-sometimes if I hit the console around the speed switch it will come back on
-when it doesn't work, it doesn't work from the time I start the car
-next time I turn it on, it will work (usually)
Probably not related:
-sometimes when I turn my car on, it smells like vinegar from the vents. Maybe electrical? I had the a/c serviced earlier this summer and it started then. Maybe cleaner?
-when on Max a/c, under high RPMs, the vents will stop blowing and instead blow out the intake/recirculating vent. Vacuum leak possibly?
My question is. What should I check first?
Thanks
