If anyone can help with this , I would greatly appreciate it. I ordered parts( A/C compressor, filter/drier, orifice and o-ring kit) for my son's 2001 explorere sport track. I am going to help him replace them. The seal on the compressor is leaking so
bad that it wont hold a charge.
I have replaced compressors on older cars, mainly chevy's but never a Ford.
Are there any sticky's or videos that may help me out? Are there any hidden bolts that I will waste time looking for? The hose also looks like it's attached to the drier. Are any special tools needed?
Where is the orifice? At the outlet of the condenser?
We live in a suburb of New Orleans so it's going to get hot real quick. A/C is a necessity down here.
