I have a 1991 XLT 4x4 and have been having issue with the AC. The pulley on the front started like stalling we replaced the pulley and it was still blowing hot air. It seemed like maybe the clutch bearing or clutch was slipping. I have to convert the system, but it was working prior to this happening. So, I am wondering what I should fix. Would it be better to replace the clutch or just get a whole new compressor? Or something else? Currently the AC is bypassed. thanks for your help!

find somewhere cheap and charge and dye the system. If it has a leak and there isnt enough refrigerant the compressor wont turn on or it will only turn on for a second or 2 then shut back off. If it does have a leak its worth knowing what it is bc compressors are expensive and replacing the compressor if its not leaking is unnecessary.

Your right, i'll start looking around.
