I know it's a strange time to be asking A/C questions, but my system is open and I want to get it together and recharged so, my question:

I'm pretty sure I need to use PAG oil, but the auto place sells different viscosities. The guy at AutoZone said I should use PAG-150, is this the correct oil?

(It's in a 94 with an R-134A system. All the FSM says is to use Ford's special oil or "equivalent"-- big help.)

Thanks!

pag-150 is way off.

7 oz. of pag-46 is what should be in there. bear in mind the pag is very hygroscopic and if your system has been sitting open for any amout of time you've probably contaminated the oil and the accumulator.

Thanks! I'm glad I asked.
