I get one problem solved, and another one pops up.
The noise itself is hard to describe. It sounds likes its coming from the rear. It starts at 66 mph and gets loudest by 70mph and continues at higher speeds. It stops at 65 mph. Sounds like the vibration sound you may get from a bad wheel balance at highway speed. There is just a very slight vibration in the vehicle.
I took it to Firestone. They rotated and balanced all 4 wheels and checked the wheel bearings. The tires are only a year old. Everything looked good, but the noise is still there. I have changed out front wheel bearings before (on this and other vehicles) and know the noise they make, so I think I can rule that out.
Any ideas?
