A4LD Overdrive Sprag - Metal vs Plastic

Does any one know what the differences are between the plastic and metal versions of the overdrive sprag? I see conflicting listings, metal until 6/92 and plastic onward, and plastic only in the 4R44E. Are they interchangeable? The metal ones are much harder to find, and that's what I happen to have.

85-95 Metal and late 89-95 plastic. Both are avaiable. Metal cage 50.00 plastic cage 55.00.
Both work the same. Hope this helps.

Indeed it does, I thought it was, but I couldn't seem to find any measurements to confirm. Thank you so much!
