I still have delayed shift and clunk when going into reverse on my 1991 Ranger a4ld.
I'm getting ready to drop the pan and change the oil and filter again in hopes it will help this time.
I will use new D-ring servo seals again to be sure I didn't damage them last time I did this.
I have information from a fellow moderator that the large spring in the reverse servo should be omitted to help speed up the shift. I believe him and plan to do it while I have the pan off, however I am just a little bit unsure and don't want to do this again.
I would very much like to hear from some others what their recommendations and experience are regarding the spring delete.
Thanks, Tom.
My apologies to JK080 Transmission Moderator, North Ga. And thanks for the assistance.
