A4LD valve body disassembled - whats that part ??

Hi,

just unbolted the vb of my 91` A4LD and after removing the seperator plate and cleaning it I found these tiny parts at my workbench. They must have fallen out from the vb. Or where they in the oil pan ? Does anybody know where these 2 parts have to go ? Size is 3.5mm dia x 1.9 long, much smaller than the "hockey pucks" shown for comparison

The small alum. puck is part of the pan gasket. Check the following thread...http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155213

the other part looks to be a lube orifice.

Bingo. Yes, the part I meant is indeed from the pan gasket.
