I have a 2005 Ford Explorer 4x4. While driving it felt like all of the sudden the brakes locked up and it wouldn't move. The ABS, Advance Trac, and 4x4 lights came on afterward. I can get the car to drive as normal as possible if I remove the ABS fuse, but all lights stay on in addition to the Brake light and Service Engine Soon light (goes into Engine Fail Safe mode). I've looked this up quite a bit and seems like a common problem. Does this sounds like a bad ABS tone ring? I've seen it called many things, exciter ring, tone ring, ect... I know nothing about vehicles!
