Ok, so I think my ABS might not be working right, I just checked for codes by using the test connector under the hood. I got 8 flashes. Can anyone tell me what they mean???? Thank you!

Ok, I checked it out but it is for a ford van.

I gave that ;link because I'm in a 91, just have rear abs.
Haynes for explorers doesn't give any codes at all. big surprise.
Chilton's for Navajo's lists codes for rear abs. They looked similar to the link i gave but not quite. Thought it'd be more what you needed.

Anyhoo, looked again in Chilton's and actually found codes for 4w abs.
Problem is they start at 11.

On mine, the abs connector is in the cab, down by the driver side kick panel,
just to the left of the emergency brake.
But chilton's is also showing a diagram for a *sensor test connection* under the hood driver side fender about the middle.

for pulling code, I think you want the one in the cab. Jumper wire to the orange black. "ground the jumper to the chassis. When the ground is made and broken, the the anti-lock lamp should begin to flash. ~A flashing pattern will consist of short flashes and end with a long flash. Count the short flashes and include the long flash in the count. Pattern repeats till the key is turned off~"
