Has anyone had issues with the ABS sensor on any 98 and newer X's? My light comes on usually every other day on start up and ocassionally while driving. It will sometimes engage on dry pavement at around 30 mph when breaking.

I am running 33's without a speedo calibrator. ANyone ever had these issues?

yes.. just started this past thursday. i'm also running 33s and no speedo calibration. i haven't had to break hard enough though to notice if its actually acting up. i'm assuming mine is just a sensor but i haven't gotten codes pulled yet. i assumed sensor since the light goes off sometimes and somtimes it stays.

Had the same problem on my 98 Explorer at about 60k miles. Turned out to be a bad rear wheel speed sensor.

I changed one of the front sensors and the rear one and it still engages at slow speeds. I just unplugged one of the sensors to disable the system and put some electrical tape over the ABS light. I do not feel this is unsafe as I cannot get my 33s to lock up even in very wet conditions.

Thanks for the replies, I thought it was just me. Looks like I'll do what you did Alec and disconnect it.
