I've looked but cant find a perfect list of what to do to help the MPG on my 94 Navajo. Ive heard gas treatments, MAF cleaning, Maybe O2 change? Ive already checked my fuel pressure regulator, but unfortunately for me its fine :( and the god-awful mileage continues. Ive got some christmas money so what kind of maintenance can I do to regain some milage, cause gas is KILLING me, im talking like 7 mpg or somewhere in that area, can someone help me out? THanks

I had a friend who had 3 of his 6 sensors go bad and was getting around the same....

he also had a problem with his 4x4 switch were it was stuck on "on"....is yours a 4x4?

yeah, well thinking back, I am not sure he knew what he was talking about and I certainly didnt at the time...

if I had to guess, I would say IAC, TPC. MAS, DFPE is it? and PCV...what would be the 6th?

I wish I still knew him....so I could question

Something definitely seems amiss. I would start by pulling codes to see if the computer can see any faults.

Any tune-up things due? Spark plugs, wires, air filter, etc.

What's fuel pressure?

Any gas leaks anywhere?

ouch 7mog...he wasn't dragging any thing was he?

Also check for a dragging brake.

A tune up is def in order, the pressure I believe was right at 38 when I checked it. I was so shocked that I hecked it over and over, hoping it would be wrong. I bought some lucas injector cleaner the other day and it seems to help considerably. I only have driven to work and have put 25 dollars in it in two days at ~2.90 a gallon. Does autozone have a scanner (since im not having my CEL come on) to check most of my sensors?

i think autozone and similar places have a reader, but not a scanner. and from what I heard, they cant clear your codes

First off - are you acurately checking your mileage? You know, fill it up - reset your trip - drive 3/4 of tank or more - fill it up again - divide miles driven by gallons used = mileage. Many complain about mileage before checking their true mileage. $25 @ $2.90 would give you 60 miles @ 7mpg.

I'm not saying your wrong, it's just most people drive way more than they think.
